Biospheres weeks 6&7

As our area experienced unusually heavy rains at the end of week #6 of the experiment, I had expected the biosphere which had been placed outdoors to be completely flooded. Its location under a massive walnut tree and the comparably small holes on the lid had prevented that from happening, however. But in the end the hot and humid weather was too much for the Wolpertinger to take, and it had disintegrated.

Week six showed a glimpse of new life in both biospheres inside. The closed-on looked like it would start growing some mold, and new sprouts were developing in the back of both biospheres. There wasn’t much change from weeks 6 and 7, except that the Wolpertinger in the closed biosphere is starting to look pretty grim.
