New life for old soap
If you are looking for a quick knitting project with a useful product then this is for you: Shampoo bars tend to break into pieces towards the end of their life span. That is both a bit annoying and not very aesthetically pleasing if you care about that kind of thing in your bathroom.
This little bag helps to make good use of what’s left and enables you to produce foam from the rests of the bars. And you can of course put a new one into a bag right away, if you so please. I ended up doing just that once I was done.
I cast on 21 stitches and divided them to three sock needles, 7 each. I knit always 2, then purled 1, to make the bag stretchy.
After 27 rows I cast off every third stitch, then cast on a new one to create holes for the string. After that I still knitted 4 more rows before casting off and closing the bottom of the bag.
It’s already ready to be used!
